SUBJECT TEACHERS.
Subject Teachers teach students in specialized subject area. Applicants must be professional teachers with minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) licence. Applicants without degrees in Education should have Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Outstanding skills in communication, listening, empathy and patience are also needed. PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASS TEACHERS.
Class Teachers prepare and deliver lesson plans, assign and review home works, administer assessments and examinations and efficiently manage pre-primary and primary classes, among other duties. Applicants must be professional teachers with minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) licence. A degree in Pre-Primary and Primary Education will be added advantage.
PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASS ASSISTANTS.
Class Assistants provide general assistance to primary and pre-primary Class Teachers for efficient delivery of teaching and learning activities. They assist in getting classroom environments, materials and equipment clean, ready and safe; and oversee pupils during non-class periods. Ideal candidates should be friendly, competent and compassionate. They must enjoy working with children. Ability to develop and deliver lesson plans is required as Class Assistants may be required to stand in if and when the Teacher is absent. Minimum qualification of NCE and current Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) licence are required.
SCHOOL LIBRARIANS.
School librarians are required to manage libraries, provide information services, and support educational programmes in primary and secondary school sections. Their responsibilities include: development and maintenance of library collection to support the curriculum; providing research assistance to students and guiding them in the use of library resources including software and digital databases. Required qualifications include minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in library science, information science or related field; at least 3 years’ experience as librarian in a school or similar setting
LABORATORY TECHNICIANS
Laboratory Technicians are required to prepare laboratory equipment, materials and chemicals for class lessons; maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning; assist science teachers in conducting experiments, demonstrations, and investigations; and supervise students during laboratory activities. Requirements include; Higher National Diploma (HND) in Lab Technology or B.Sc. in any of the core science subjects with at least three years’ experience as a lab technician in a secondary school or similar setting.
GUIDANCE COUNSELLORS
This is a senior management position that requires ability to conduct individual and group counselling and mentorship sessions to advise and assist students and pupils with academic and vocational development. It requires ability to work and cooperate with parents, teachers and external partners to identify and remedy behavioural problems. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counselling, Educational Psychology or related field; membership of professional counselling association; and work experience as a Counsellor in an academic environment are required. Also required are listening, empathy, communication, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARIES
Administrative Secretaries are required to provide general administrative and operational support to Management including efficient handling, documentation, filing and retrieving of correspondence; taking minutes and following up on implementation of decisions; responding to enquiries on telephones, emails and social media platforms; maintaining of up-to-date records and files of students and pupils; among other duties. Outstanding inter-personal, organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills as well as polite, calm, friendly demeanour even in stressful situations are required. Minimum qualification is Bachelor’s degree or HND in secretarial studies.
SCHOOL DRIVERS.
Applicants should not be more than 40 years of age, married, resident in Abuja with valid driving licence, minimum of senior secondary certificate, and minimum of five years’ experience. A recommendation letter attesting to good work record from immediate past employer is also required.
OTHER CONDITIONS
Area of interest should be stated as part of the heading of application (e.g. Application for Employment as Mathematics Teacher; Application for Employment as Class Teacher). Evidence of NYSC service or exemption from the service is needed for all applicants with Degree or HND. Post-qualification working experience is an advantage. Competence literacy is a basic requirement. Preference are accorded to applicants residing in Abuja.
